Dr. Sarver is a double board-certified Addictionist and Family Physician who specializes in Pain and Addiction Medicine. He graduated from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency at St. Luke's University Healthcare System, Temple University School of Medicine in Pennsylvania. He co-developed and implemented an integrated MOUD through primary care model in Allentown, PA with St. Luke’s Hospital. Dr. Sarver continued to champion an integrated care model that treats primary care and addiction simultaneously through a single provider. He brought this model to Schneck Medical Center in Indiana and was one of the key personnel for a half million dollar grant by the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction for implementing an MOUD induction and warm-handoff program with the hospital ED, Primary Care, and local federally qualified healthcare center, the Indiana Health Clinic. In 2023 Dr Sarver was recruited by the Veterans Administration to develop the Bay Pines VA Hospital inpatient pain program, and has been on the staff with the VA since 2024. He is an assistant professor of medicine with both the University of South Florida School of Medicine and Indiana University School of Medicine. He has multiple publications on addiction and pain, and has been featured in several podcasts with QSource and multiple newspaper articles for his contributions to family medicine, pain, and addiction.
